Sarah Rose Project is the solo venture of
Sarah Rose, best known as the lead vocalist for Atlanta-based cabaret punk band
Sarah and the Safe Word.
With over 20 million streams on Spotify, an appearance on the Vans Warped Tour, international touring, and a cameo on The CW’s The Originals, the band has built its name on bold theatricality, genre-blending sound, and a flair for the dramatic.
With this new project, Sarah steps out alone — still steeped in vintage style, but with a sound that’s entirely her own. Sarah Rose Project draws on raucous jazz, rock and roll, and dark tales of Americana to create something both familiar and freshly personal.
The self-titled debut, releasing on
SAY-10 Records, was recorded over the course of three years across multiple cities — with the bulk of the sessions taking place at Chicago’s legendary Gravity Studios. There, Sarah enlisted local musicians — from horns, to strings, to percussion and an occasional washboard — lending the record its rich, cinematic atmosphere.
This is a new stage and a new story — full of drama and plot twists — told in a voice that’s never been more distinctly Sarah Rose.
